Nordic Games has teamed up with two of the music industry’s leading video producers to make the launch trailer for We Dance. Rob Chandler and Chris Brown who have made vids for the likes of Depeche Mode and Franz Ferdinand have teamed up to deliver this colourful trailer that uses a technique called Rotoscoping – something used way back in the 80s in the first ever Prince of Persia game. We Dance itself features 40 licensed tracks to sweat it out to, three party modes and even the choice to use the ‘Star Mat’. I really thought the days of slipping over on those and banging your hip were long gone. You can play it on the Wii on 2nd September.

The World of Warcraft seems to be becoming a bit more spacious. Since May around 300,000 people have left the online universe and are probably going about their days doing much more mundane things such as having a job or socialising. At its peak the MMO had around 12 million users signed up but it seems they can’t keep up with producing new content as fast as it’s being consumed by some gamers. Blizzard are working on making new content for the world to keep things fresh. Mmm, lemony.

It’s bad news if you’re planning on giving or getting a PSVita in the US or Europe this Christmas because despite Sony saying it would be out before December 25th, now it’s not. It’s now expected to come out around March 2012 and is estimated to cost around $249 US dollars for the Wi-Fi version and $299 for the 3G version. Unfortunately for Sony this will also mean that families are more likely to shell out for a Nintendo 3DS for friends and family this Christmas after the price drop on its way this Friday.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and to thank players, Activision has announced a fourth map pack called Resurrection available to download from 23rd August on Xbox Live with PS3 and PC versions to follow. The DLC features four updated maps from World at War for those ever-lovable zombies to shamble around in as well as one set on the moon. It will cost 1200 Microsoft points and if you bought the Hardened or Prestige editions you’ll be able to download it for free. Huzzah!

And finally, it’s finally been confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will have a multiplayer mode – we’re just not quite sure what form it will take yet. Multiplayer shenanigans will be showcased at GamesCom in Germany next week and will be playable at two UK trade shows in September. Now all I need are some friends.
