Bethesda have said they will support the Wii U and the PSVita if the systems prove powerful enough to run their games. Bethesda’s VP of PR Pete Hines said that developing for the Wii was just ‘not an option’ because they would have to reversion their games completely for the less powerful console. They do, however, want their games to reach out to the largest possible audience which means gamers who only play on Nintendo’s consoles or Sony’s handhelds could now also be looking forward to playing Skyrim, Prey 2 and Elder Scrolls.
Grand Theft Auto 5 may not have shown its face at this year’s E3 but a mod for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV shows just what may be possible in terms of graphics for the next game in the sandbox series. Created by fans of the game and called the iCEnhancer 1.2, the pack adds new graphical and lighting effects to the game to make it look all purdy.

It’s bad news for people looking forward to the HD PS3 Splinter Cell Trilogy. The game’s been delayed yet again. Originally it should have been out in March and now Sam Fisher is stepping into the light on 23rd September. The collection features the original Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory with re-mastered visuals, new trophies, stereoscopic 3D and smoother gameplay thanks to a better frame rate of 60 fps and 30fps in 3D.
Little Big Planet 2 is getting Final Fantasy VII content. You’ll be able to download the characters of Sephiroth, Cloud Strife and others from Wednesday. Each costume will cost £1.59 or equivalent in other currencies or you can get the entire costume pack featuring 5 characters for just under a fiver.
And finally, the guys from iD Software have been reminiscing about where how it all started in the run up to their latest FPS, RAGE in a new trailer for the game called The Legacy of iD. They of course invented the FPS genre with Wolfenstein 3D but RAGE uses the powerful new engine that is ID TECH 5.0.
