About Us

Ginx is the first international TV channel dedicated to videogames.   The programming slate consists of 14 original series, including The Blurb (weekly portal into the world of global videogaming),  Planet of the Apps (best new Apps out there) and Ginx News (up to the minute videogaming news).    Ginx offers its partners exciting multi screen opportunities with an extensive library of short-form clips for VOD services, and super-condensed mini reviews for mobile.    The Ginx community on Facebook is growing rapidly and Ginx is offering its viewers multiple ways of interacting with the channel.  Ginx is about ‘all the games, all the time’ and is created for core and non-core gamers alike.

Ginx 24/7 channels are on the air in Indonesia and Turkey with launches imminent in Asia Pacific, UK and Eastern Europe.   Ginx can be received in High Definition as well as Standard Definition and all feeds carry localised audio feeds.   The current Ginx channels are carried on the Measat Satellite or are delivered via fibre/internet.  Ginx expects to be up on other satellites shortly.

Ginx also produces videogaming shows for 3rd party broadcasters and has recently announced important deals with Zee TV in India (January 2011) and TVNZ of New Zealand (February 2011).    The Ginx show ‘GameFace’ has been picked up by UK channel ‘Challenge’ and airs in prime-time on Saturdays.

Ginx’s CEO is Michiel Bakker, one of the founders of MTV Networks Europe and ex-chairman of Nickelodeon UK and Paramount Comedy.   The Ginx Board is chaired by Peter Einstein, former President of Showtime Arabia.
